Course Details
Adam, our tutor, is semi professional photographer, winning awards and recognition locally, on the internet and in national competitions. He also contributes regularly to stock photography libraries.
Our photography courses aim to demystify your camera, by use of a mix of theory (boring but essential!) and practical sessions. The classroom sessions will introduce you to the features of your camera and show you how to use them to take more professional pictures. Practical sessions will then contain a number of exercises for you to complete, reinforcing the theory sessions. We will spend time reviewing the results of the practical exercises together. - A Practical Introduction to Your DSLR Part 1
- A Practical Introduction to Your DSLR Part 2
Our part one photography course is designed for those people that find themselves stuck in the fully automatic ‘Green Square’ mode. It is a gentle introduction into the more advanced features of your camera, designed to be informative and fun.
At the end of this course, you will be confident using your camera’s aperture priority mode to control the depth of field in your shots; know how to achieve the sharpest possible shots; have a basic understanding of exposure and the rules of composition.
Our part two photography course picks up where part one left off, and is also suitable for those people who are comfortable using aperture priority on their camera.
This course covers the use of shutter speed priority and manual modes; the various focus modes available; a detailed look at exposure and the relationship between shutter speed, aperture size and ISO; the use of histograms and exposure compensation.
All our courses come with a complete set of handouts including the course notes, exercises and a certificate.
One to one tuition is also available. Please contact us for further details.
