Course Details

Our part 2 photography course is suitable for people who have completed our part 1 course or who are comfortable using aperture priority on their camera.

This training again starts with a classroom based session mixed with practical exercises to familiarise yourself with operating your own camera and how to use the various features that are discussed.

A session of practical photographic exercises will then follow and the day will be rounded off with a group review and a question and answer session.

On this course, you will learn :
  • How to use shutter speed priority mode to capture motion.
  • How to use manual mode.
  • How to use the different focus modes on your camera.
  • The relationship between shutter speed, aperture and ISO and how they affect exposure.
  • How to how to read and understand your camera's histogram.
  • How to use exposure compensation.
You will need to bring your own DSLR with you, as the course will teach you how to use the features of your camera to produce more professional looking images.

The course will run from 10am to approximately 4pm. While we hope to run the practical session outside, in very inclement weather we may decide to run this session indoors.

If you have not previously attended our part 1 course, please read the part 1 details and ensure you are happy with everything that has been covered. Unfortunately we will not have time to revisit material that was covered by the previous course.

All course participants will receive a certificate at the end of the day.
